        Cape town in my heart…                                 Currently residing in Melbourne I’ve been so dedicated to work that have hardly had a chance to take a trip to the ocean coast.. When it finally happened i am again nostalgic about another place thousands miles away ~ my beloved Cape Town. Inspired by my journey along the Great Ocean Road I was thinking how much I longed for this to happen, how I missed the ocean. Australian attempt to touch with the massive waters edge took a long time. I love to travel on the bus and watching the landscaped and road, towns and people. Actual journey is more interesting than any movie. Many years ago, driving through Mpumalanga, one of South Africa's provinces, I sometimes its gives the sentiment of time travel. I am intruding in the moment, watching pieces of peoples lives, while remaining almost invisible. Exciting experience! No today I won’t be posting any pictures from Australian ocean coast. Today I want to show Cape Town and spectacular views I shot during my journeys there! Grand Ocean Road will be in the next publication!

Вчера я сделала тур на Великую Океанскую дорогу. Очень соскучилась по океану. Поездка была замечательной и очень длинной по времени. Я люблю путешествовать в автобусе и наблюдать за проплывающими по дороге пейзажами, городами и людьми, для меня это интереснее любого фильма. Много лет назад проезжая по Мпумаланге, одной из провинций ЮАР, я поймала себя на мысли, что я как бы путешествую во времени, я врываюсь и наюлюдаю за человеческими жизнями, при этом оставаясь невидимой. Захватывающее впечатление! И если Вы сегодня ожидаете от меня фото океанского побережья Австралии- увы, сегодня я хочу показать Кейптаун и потрясающие виды его побережья! Koala- symbol of Australia!

 When we think of Australia, the first thing that comes to mind is the kangaroo. Closely related images. But as I have said, are not the only kangaroos marsupials living on the Australian continent. Today let's talk about the Koalas. They are not ordinary, first impression at the meeting that they are not real, that it is plush toys, which are place rather stuck between trees branches.

Now the bit of science information:

 Koala (Phascolarctos cinereus) is a herbivorous marsupial which lives in trees and only in Australia. It is the only surviving member of the family Phascolarctidae and its closest living relatives are the wombats. Koala lives in the coastal areas of eastern and southern regions of mainland Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia. It is easily recognizable by its tailless form of the body and a large head with round fluffy ears and large, in the form of nasal spoon. Koala has a body length of 60-85 cm (24-33 inches) and weighs 4-15 kg (9-33 pounds). Its color varies from silver-gray to chocolate brown. Koalas of northern populations are generally smaller and lighter in color than their counterparts further south.

Koalas usually found in open woodlands and forests of eucalyptus leaves of these trees make up a large part of their diet. Because this diet has limited nutritional and caloric, koalas mainly sedentary and sleep up to 20 hours a day. They are asocial animals, and a connection exists only between mothers and offspring. Adult males communicate loud sounds that intimidate rivals. Males mark their presence of odor from glands located on the chest. Being marsupials koalas give birth to underdeveloped offspring that further increases in mothers' pouches, which remains within the first six to seven months of their lives. These young koalas, known as the Joeys, fully weaned after a year.

On the koalas were hunted by indigenous Australians and there are images in the myths and cave paintings. . The first recorded meeting between Europeans and koalas was in 1798, and the image of the animal has been published in 1810 by naturalist George Perry. Botanist Robert Brown made the first detailed scientific description of koalas in 1814, although his work was not published May for 180 years. Family Day and society.

Today I want to share my impressions of the society, traditions and understanding. Last week we had a wonderful trip out of town with Redbubble employees and their families. The day was perfect and I really was waiting for it. Each departure for me is expanding the boundaries of knowledge in Australia. I had agreed with Dominic and took office camera. I offered to make a photo report of what is happening. Initially, there was some tension, and then all relaxed and happy to pose. Turned wonderful photos will remain the memory of the trip. День был чудесный и я очень его ждала. Каждый выезд для мня это расширение границ познания Австралии. Я заранее договорилась с Домиником и взяла с собой офисную камеру. Birds Show. Healsville Sanctuary, Victoria, Australia

 In the  Healsvillle Senctuary conducted numerous educational lectures and shows, one of the show I was lucky to see! This birds show. It happened such way- there are big different birds  fly time to time over the heads of spectators. We all were very impressed with the huge eagle with a wingspan of up to 1,5 meters, they were doing circles above us, and then picking up or catching pieces of food. It was very entertaining. Оно происходило таким образом- на арену  над головами пораженных зрителей по очереди вылетали самые разные птицы. Очень впечатлили огромные орлы с размахом крыльев до полутора метров, они делали круги над нами, а потом подбирали или ловили приготовленные им кусочки пищи. Было очень занимательно. В пятницу 23 сентября нам  объявили выезд за город, посвященный празднованию Дня семьи.
Этот праздник для семей, чтобы люди могли отвлечься и провести день со своими семьями и друзьями. Это один из редких видов государственных праздников, который не посвящен ни какому памятному событию. В этот день большинство предприятий не работают.
Впервые праздник был проведен в 2007 году.
Австралийцы любят отдыхать и им нравится идея выходного дня. Семьи сознательно проводят время вместе  и делают то, что позволяет весенняя погода ... шашлыки, посещение музеев, отдых на озере, прогулки на воздушном шаре или просто тихий день под телевизором.
Для команды и семей сотрудников Redbablle заранее запланировали поездку в Hiealesville Sanctuary.
Healesville Sanctuary, зоопарк сэра Колина Маккензи специализируется на австралийских животных.
 Он расположен в городке Healesville в сельской местности штата Виктория и занимается разведением местных животных. Это одно из двух мест в стране, где он успешно разводят утконоса.
