Today I will start new series of posts dedicated to the endangered and incredible animals of the planet. In my closest future I will start new project where I will create artworks to make something to stop destroy our beautiful planet. That is what I can do by myself.  Here, in my blog I will collect information about animals that need our protection to stay in the Earth. Today we will talk about pangolins.
When I lived in Africa and touched the wonderful world of animals, I realized that people really are idiots who sawed the branch on which they sit. Apparently because of the very short life cycle, we can not understand  all  greatness of our wonderful planet and those who live near us. Our fellows-lifetime- animals. In Australia, I learned about the death of the Great Barrier Reef, and I gave myself a promise for the future to create art project on this theme. And the name already exist "Regards from Eternity". In the end of our planet will be nothing left and nobody will remember of us, stupid creations crashed their home. So let's honor the memory and learn about those who were close to us.

Today we will talk about  PANGOLINS.

These reptiles are mammals of the order Pholidota. Today Manidae preserved one family, and it has three types :. MANIS, which consists of four species in Asia, Phataginus consisting of two species in Africa and Smutsia, which includes two types also living in Africa. These animals have a size between 30 and 100 centimeters (12 to 39 inches). The name of the lizard comes from the Malay word "pengguling", which means "the one that is turned off."

Pangolin Lizards have large, protective scales are made of keratin, covering their skin; they are the only known mammalian this adaptation. They live in hollows or holes, depending on the species. Lizards are nocturnal animals and their diet consists largely of ants and termites, which they capture using their long, specially adapted tongues. They are usually solitary animals, are found only to mate and produce a litter from one to three children, adults who are within two years. Lizards are under threat of destruction due to hunting (for meat and scales) and the disappearance of their natural habitat. Of the eight species of dinosaurs left, four species (Phataginus tetradactyla, P. tricuspis, Smutsia Gigantea and S. temminckii) are listed as vulnerable, two species (M. Manis crassicaudata and culionensis) are listed as endangered, as well as two species (M. Pentadactyla and M. javanica) are listed as endangered in the Red book.
