In the evening we went to the bus in a predetermined direction. A few words about what we saw on the way from Mumbai.
Numerous new buildings replaced the slums of the city's high-rise buildings over which hovered the monorail. These did not look like houses in Mumbai. The city is developing and I'd like to wish the Indians as soon as possible to move to modern apartments with all the amenities.
Meanwhile, we were on a convenient bus and ready to go to the night move to the next state of Karnataka.Hospet is a city in the Bellary district in the central part of the state of Karnataka, India. It is located on the Tungabhadra River, 12 km from Hampi. Hampi is a world heritage site, containing ruins of the medieval city of Vijayanagara, the former capital of the Vijayanagara Empire.
Hospet was built in 1520 AD by Krishna Deva Raya, one of the Vijayanagara rulers. He built the city to honour the memory of his mother Nagalambika. The city was originally named Nagalapura. However, people called the city Hosa Pete, meaning "New City." The area between Hampi and Hospet still call Nagalapura. It was the main entrance to the city of Vijayanagara for arriving from Goa on the west coast.
The government approved a request to rename the city in October 2014 and was renamed Hospet "Hospet" on November 1, 2014.
