Vidaai, is the day when the bride is officially sent to the groom's house. Many of the songs immortalized the moment when the bride leaves her "Babul Ka Ghar" or the house of his father. According to Hindu religious texts, Brahma created a man from his right shoulder and a woman from his left shoulder. The woman is called Vamangi or someone who is on the left side.
Throughout the wedding ceremony, the bride is sitting on the right side of the groom. That is in place for strangers. Only after Saptpadi, when the bride and groom exchanged vows in marriage, the wife can sit on the left side of her husband. The groom and the bride say about their duties and responsibilities in the family life of the priest.
